An Interesting Day

This day had a lot of ups and downs. Matt seems to be a little under the weather again. On top of that he is teething which makes him insanely irritable. He woke up early this morning with a bang and seemed to cry even when playing. An early nap did not calm his temper. He did have his good moments though. Jack was able to make him laugh for a while until he would cry for no reason. He also loves to walk around with the blanket on his head. He puts out his arms to feel his way around the house. I think having the blanket on his head is weirdly comforting to him.

Jack was so good today (thank goodness). He seemed to know that I was having a hard time with Matt and was able to occupy himself for a good part of the day. We were still able to fit in our usual Easter Egg hunts and our daily Uncle Wiggly games while Matt napped. The best part of my day was finding out that Jack can write. He was spelling his name, Matt's name and can write a handful of letters. Terry worked with him a little this evening and Jack just seems to be bursting with the need to write or draw. It is so strange how one day he seems to have no interest and the next day he can't stop doing an activity.
