Family of Four

In November, Jack will be a big brother! Terry and I found out that we were pregnant right around St. Patrick's day and we couldn't be happier. We had an ultrasound about a month ago and everything looks good. We are praying for a happy and healthy baby.
We have been trying to explain to Jack that there's a baby in Mommy's tummy but he really hasn't caught on to the idea. We just hope that once the baby is born, he will adjust and know that we love both of them so much.
The kids will be almost 2.5 years apart so we are hoping we can handle it. Jack has been so good and sleeping so well that we thought it was time to try again. The baby will be a wonderful early Christmas present for the three of us.

Outdoor Fun

We cannot get enough of this beautiful weather. Jack just seems to thrive on the outdoors. We had a few rough days with one another when it rained, but the warm sun made those days fade away.
For Terry's birthday weekend, we ate outside, spent time with neighbors and had a lot of Meredith and Terry time. Jack did not miss us. In fact he is getting better and better with saying goodbye to us. I think he knows the babysitter will dote on him.
Today Terry cut the lawn for the first time and Jack had fun mimicking his dad. He wanted nothing to do with picking up sticks but when it came time to cut the lawn he was as close to dad as he could get. It was too cute.

The Shedd

During the cold spell last week, Jack and I joined Ava and her mom Carshon on a trip to the Shedd. Jack loved looking at the fish but enjoyed running throughout the aquarium more. We saw eels, frogs, turtles and even a tarantula. The morning ending with a lunch in their cafeteria.

Happy Easter

Hope everyone had a great Easter. Jack had a blast with about 4 egg hunts and about 100 cars and trucks in his basket. My camera is in the shop so I hope to post a variety of pictures by the end of next week. Happy Easter!

My Little Ham

After a 30 minute struggle with Jack's breakfast, we discovered that the exact same cereal tasted better in mom's bowl sitting in mom's chair. Jack loved the cereal so much, he had three helpings. He also got to catch up on his reading.
