Velvet Cake

I made velvet cake for the first time this week. I think it may also be my first layered cake too. It was quite a tedious process - mostly, I think, because Jack was helping. Our time together was fun though and in the end I think the cake turned out pretty good. Jack's favorite part was making the cake red (and eating the batter).
