Adult Vacation

Terry and I escaped for a few days to Door County. The kids spent 5 blissful days at my parents house eating buttermilk pancakes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Kathleen and Griffin joined us in Door County for a few days. It was wonderful to have adult conversations, uninterrupted sleep and to just relax. We biked, swam, shopped and ate - a lot.

As nice as it was to get away, it was nice to be back home. I got a long, long hug from Matt and Jack had so many stories to tell us.
Camp for the boys ended this week. This week was all about Louisiana. They learned about frogs, alligators and the bayou. Today the kids celebrated Mardi Gras by making necklaces, masks and drinking hurricane punch. Matt loved his mask so much that he wore it all morning and is now sleeping with it.
