Catching Up

There is always something to do, always something pressing and not enough hours in the day. So as I sit here listening to my two year old kick the side of his crib instead of taking a nap, I thought I would catch up on the blog.
Christmas has come and gone way too fast. I try to savor the time by putting all decorations up after Thanksgiving and watching as many of the old time cartoons like the Grinch and Frosty the Snowman as much as possible but it doesn't help. The boys loved the holidays and enjoyed having parties, seeing family and having a week at home with dad. We spent a lot of time together playing board games, sledding, visiting the Children's Museum, seeing Zoo lights and my favorite - getting the stomach flu as a family. Oh well, at least it is in the past.

We are now all healthy and enjoying the moderately cold temperatures. Jack has fully immersed himself into his role of Superman. He signs his name as Superman and wants us to refer to him as Clark Kent when he is not dressed up in costume. He truly believes his hair is getting darker because he is turning into Superman.
Matt is such a little toddler. He tells me that he is still "mama's baby" but he really isn't. He has attempted the potty several times. He loves dressing as Batman and he really enjoys playing with legos, blocks and Play Doh. His attention span is so much better and his listening has improved (slightly). Two has always been my favorite age and Matt is not letting me down. (except for the nap)
